A Greencastle Classic right off the Square. An old-fashioned shotgun bar with a live music stage at the Northend. Really good food and plenty of cold beer! Definitely recommend the pot roast sandwich. But it all smells good! Quick and efficient but friendly & comfortable. Could definitely become a regular around DePauw Softball games!
Jessie the waitress was phenomenal! Super attentive and friendly. After a whiskey tasting around the corner we were hungry and this place said it had been around since the before the 50's so we gave it a try. They had plenty of seating, had great live music going and the bathroom were clean and smelled phenomenal!! We ordered the hot cheese balls which were delicious!!!! My husband ordered the tenderloin with onion straws and I the chicken breast with fries. All the food was delicious and would definitely go back if in the area!!! Highly recommended
In a word...Fantastic. A perfect experience awaits you at Moore's. I wish this was in my hometown for sure. I would eat here daily! I had the hand Pattied burger and fries (crinkle!) and a side salad (homemade dressing-excellent!) and everything was great. I would take away half a start for the fries being frozen not fresh cut, and the iced tea being the fountain not real brewed...but I gave it back for the cleanliness and overall charm. This is what you think a bar should look like...it's perfect. We found our new lunch spot when we are in town for the barrel horse show in Cloverdale!
What a great place for lunch! I loved the atmosphere - very cozy and pub-like. Prices were fantastic! Affordable with big portions. We split the tenderloin which was delicious - loaded with toppings and perfectly cooked. The fried pickles were very good too! I'd order everything again!!!
Food was good. Service to take order was slow but once order placed food arrived timely. Only 1 person working tables and bartender didn't see us come in the back since the streets in front were limited on parking. Nice little bar.
